Submitted! “Startup Selling: How to sell if you really, really have to and don’t know how”

The writing, revising, and proofreading is over.  I’ve just submitted “Startup Selling: How to sell if you really, really have to and don’t know how” for publication.  Amazon tells me it will be about a week before the title is available.

Thanks to everyone for waiting patiently. I’m excited to deliver the book to you by early May.

Edison was a better salesman

From Wired today: Jan. 4, 1903: Edison Fries an Elephant to Prove His Point

Edison had established direct current at the standard for electricity distribution and was living large off the patent royalties, royalties he was in no mood to lose when George Westinghouse and Nicola Tesla showed up with alternating current.

The lesson here? Doesn’t matter if you’re technology is better – you need to know how to sell it.
